do they make a battery grip for the nikon d40?

hey yahoo! answers community, i’m planning on getting a nikon d40 camera, and i think it look to small, and un-pro. So, i was thinking about using a battery grip with a vertical shutter release to make it look more professional looking, to prolong battery life, and make vertical shooting more comfortable.

this is an opteka battery grip for the d40, the one review says that he/she loves it and it fits good, and i was wondering if this would be a good buy, and if you would suggest me putting it on my nikon brand camera

Don’t worry about looking professional. It’s not the look of the camera that matters, but the person behind it and making the prints. (Plus we’ll all know its a D40 and call you a wannabe anyways… j/k)

I’ve had experience with the Opteka 650-1300mm lens and their macro screw in lenses. All of them have been really low quality, so I would think the battery grip is probably equally as low quality. Look at the Adorama Battery Grip:

It’s at least a company I trust more and the three reviews for it are somewhat favorable (ya think they’d allow a bad review of it on their site?). Ok, so I just looked at it again and the Adorama grip doesn’t have a vertical shutter release.
