how do i connect an old analogue video camera recorder to my pc?

i have an old sony video camera recorder,using Hi8 video cassette,the only connection available is a video/audio jacks, i would like to connect the camera to my computer to edit old videos. how do i do it?

I’ve heard good things about the Dazzle converter and the K World device, but I’d avoid cheap TV cards – the quality tends to be very poor. If you’ve got a lot of tapes and you want the best quality possible, have a look at the Canopus ADVC range. Not cheap, but well respected.
