If that didn’t work try these steps:
1- Unplug the device.
2- Remove the installed software from control panel.
3- Restart computer.
4- Install the software came in with the card reader. (WITHOUT PLUGGING IN THE DEVICE).
5- Plug it now.

If these steps couldn’t help you may have a hardware problem in the Card reader or it is broken.
