cctv to pc monitor (s-video to vga)?

Okay i brought a 1.2ghz mini Wireless Camera and want to connect it to a pc monitor so i brought a lead that let you connect s-video into 1 end and let you connect the other end to a pc monitor with a vga cable, the problem is i turn my monitor on plug plug the cctv to the cable that connect to the monitor, and power it up and nothing happens the pc monitor just goes into sleep mode.

What am i doing wrong checked it with to different cables ( the same type) and two different recivers

Your problem is probably voltage . The CCTV camera probably isn’t putting out the proper voltage, as a PC/Graphics card would. You’d be better off connecting it to PC via S-Video(and a graphics card with S-Video In) Or direct to a TV or VCR.
