HELP! Canon EOS 400D Charger? What does it say on the plug?
Can someone please tell me what it says on the plug that you got to plug the battery charger in?
I have just cleared my room out and 2 plugs have got mixed up and i have no idea which is which, both have different numbers on and fuses in them so i don’t want to blow anything :S
Its between a plug that says longwell on it and 5A 250V
or one that has Approved by BSI Made in England and 3A on it.

It is unusual for any LI-ion charger to be more than 1 amp (0.9A to 0.25A) I don’t see how the amp rating of the AC cord will have any influence on the charger. The charger is where all the voltage conversion and conditioning takes place.
You may just have to check with your local Canon dealer … take your charger and the two power cords in with you and compare them to what comes with your camera … in the store
