Every time that I try to upload the video from my JVC, nothing comes up. What should I do?
I have a JVC video camera and I have connected the USB cord to both the computer and the camera. I followed the instructions that they had, and they said that somthing should show up under removable disk on my computer, or somthing should just pop up. Nothing has popped up, I have my camera turned on, tape/Memory Card in, but nothing happens. Do I need to install the software that came with the video camera–I didnt think you had to–??
My computer is a Microsoft Windows XP service pack 2.
Whats a firewire and where do you buy them and how much do they cost???
you need to use a firewire connection between the camcorder & computer in order to transfer videos – the USB connection is only used to transfer photos from the memory card.

EWAEMVC1M Video Rain cape, cameras < 9 $109 The VC-1M raincape is a derivative of the well known VC-M raincape and replaces it. It was specially developed to match the requirements of the new camcorder generations and offers a lot of advantages compared to the VC-M raincape. The camera is attached to the front port, by means of an ewa-marine C-AF 52 adapter.
