ahh, stupid projector… i neeeed help!! Lamp/Bulb Replacement?
i can’t really tell if my lamp or bulb is out on my projector, but it keeps turning off after about thirty seconds of use. pretty lame. anyways, it fires up as it would normally, the image is huge and bright, very vivid, but it will NOT stay on. i have no idea what to look for in order to tell what part needs replacement, and if to your knowledge (can you help me figure out what’s wrong), can you please tell me how to replace the lamp in the projector. i have a Mitsubishi Hc900. pleeease help!!!

It is definitely not burned out. As mentioned already it is a protection circuit, mot likely from overheating. The most common cause of this problem is dirty filters. Check your manual for the location of the filters. They are typically at the air intake vents. Some have only one filter others have more. Clean them and see if that helps. Good luck.
