Whats the big difference between the Cannon rebel XSI and the Cannon rebel XTI?
i noticed online package deals for the cannon rebel xti are about $150-200 cheaper than similar package deals for the cannon rebel xsi.
for that reason, im leaning towards purchasing the xti,
also because i dont see too much of a difference between the two,
but help me out, whats the big difference? do you think its worth the extra $200?
will be using for close ups & fashion photography.
and just about everything else a 16 year old girl would take pictures of actually xD
im also considering the d60.

There isn’t a huge difference, even though the XTi is rather older. Live View is the headline difference I suppose. With the XTi you have to look through the viewfinder. The XSi allows you to use the camera by looking at the LCD on the back, like a point and shoot.
There are several other differences and of the two I would choose the XSi. The Live View facility would actually be a useful feature for you if you want to take close ups.
One word of caution… the 18-55 mm IS kit lens is very good value – and I’d recommend you get it – but it doesn’t focus all that close. It’s closest focussing distance is 25 cm. I can’t really advise on the best close up (macro) lenses because that’s not something I do with my DSLR.
I’d definitely recommend reading the review below. That site has reviews for all the DSLR cameras. The review for the XSi that I’ve picked out describes all the differences between the XSi (450D) and the XTi (400D).
