Can a Canon Powershot SD870 IS use an SD-HC card?

I’m switching over from a clunkier Powershot A540, which can’t use an SD-HC card, so I really want one that can use them. I travel a lot to remote places and take hundreds of pictures/video clips at a time, so having a nice big card would really be nice.

Yes it can. SDHC is just a slightly different format allowing more space on each Memory Card. Older devices may have a problem with them, but new cameras such as the SD870 have no problem.
