My camera with accessories disappeared at a hotel?
My digital slr camera/bag/lenses/accerories (valued about $3000) went missing from a boardroom at a nice hotel. One of the employees said they’ve seen it around and described it which leads me to believe its around there somewhere. But all the other employees are of no help and make it seem like a lost cause. Is there anything I can do?
Yes, file a police report, but also file an incident report with the hotel. Unfortunately, an Innkeeper are not responsible for items left in the hotel, even if they are under lock door. ( Includes your room ) that is why they offer ”safes” to put your valuables.
The hotel will turn in the incident report to their insurance company, just to keep them inform. Unless you file a sue against it. The hotel’s insurance company will not contact you.
